SAP SuccessFactors 1H 2023 Release Employee Central Highlights

The SuccessFactors half-yearly release is here, and our team at Discovery Consulting wants to share some Employee Central highlights.

Adrian, our Centre of Excellence Lead for Core HR (Employee Central), shared a few key changes of interest.

Firstly, you can now flexibly configure templates for the concurrent employment hiring process with different blocks of information. You can include standard and/or custom MDF objects, such as Alternate Cost Distribution.
This feature is also supported for the standard employee hire wizard, so this is something worth revisiting for your existing hiring processes. Make sure to check and consider the impacts with Onboarding.
Another change to highlight is the new user interface for time sheets. The previous UI will be deprecated and will no longer be available. So it’s time to review the new UI and get familiar with those changes.
Lastly, there’s been ongoing changes to Centralized Services, this brings more consistency in behaviour across user interfaces, imports, APIs. Some which were previously opt-in are now Universal, e.g. Centralised Services for Work Permits. These changes will bring some different behaviours, so it’s important to test those before they go into Production.
