SAP SuccessFactors 1H 2023 Release LMS Highlights

The SuccessFactors half-yearly release is here, and our team at Discovery Consulting wants to share some LMS highlights.

Sunny, a functional consultant for the Learning module shares the following important items:

• Firstly, the native site login for Learning-only users, also known as External Learning Users, will be removed and replaced with SAP Cloud Identity Authentication Service (IAS) by November 2024.
• This provides better security and a seamless login experience. You can either switch to IAS or migrate to the SuccessFactors platform for authentication.
• Secondly, the legacy course homepage will be replaced by the new homepage by June 2023.
• Thirdly, if you are using Virtual Learning System with WebEx or Zoom, you need to update your configuration files. If using Zoom, you will need to create a new Server-to-Server OAuth Application in Zoom.
• Lastly, SAP made some changes in the Learning APIs that led to changes in permissions, so make sure to update your learning admin role and learning user role accordingly.
